On Significant Others

The term "Soul mate" refers to that special someone who is perfect for you. First off, that's a load of crap. There are no "soul mates." There are, however, great matches out there; maybe not perfect, but not far off. Some people spend their lives building the image of the perfect other in their heads. They make lists of what they want in a life partner. That is also bullshit. If you want to find your "perfect" other, you need to make a list of things that you HATE in a partner. This method will quickly eliminate potential partners, and easily help you find a great match. The reason this method works better than previous ones is because making a list of things you like in a person is useless for two reasons:

a) With or without the list, you will be looking for the same things. People are always looking for the things they like in a person. Because of this, the bad things about a person come as a surprise and quickly turn you off to them.

b) Everyone's list is always about the same (i.e. beautiful, intelligent, funny, etc.).

If you know what you do NOT want, and you keep that conscious upon meeting meeting someone, you can almost instantly know if you will last with them or not. Not only that, but when looking for the bad things in a person, the good things take you by surprise and create a deeper bond.
Now knowing this, go out and try it! What have you go to lose? Besides, if you're single now, you're probably doing nothing with your life anyway.

Anime Length

Before I choose to watch an anime, I like to research it. Nothing too in depth, just the basics (i.e. who is it by, how was it rated, what year was it released, how nice is the fanservice, etc.). Most of the things I look for have little affect on weather I'll watch the anime or not, but some aspects make all the difference. For instance, I'm not going to watch an anime if I see this:

Naruto - 220 episodes

this:
Bleach - 233 episodes

or this:
One Piece - 414 episodes

Like any average american, I watch all of my anime on my computer. There is not even a slight chance that I would sit through a 414 episode anime about a pirate who turns into Mr. Fantastic by eating some wacan berries, especially on my computer.
Yes, I realize that these shows are also on television, but screw that. How often do they show a new episode? Once a week? Also, in order to appreciate the new episodes, I would have to have seen the previous episodes.
The saddest part about these shows is that they are pretty cool, however FCLC was also pretty cool, and that was only six episodes!
I'm not trying to say that every anime should be condensed to six episodes. No that's not it at all. What I'm saying is that everyone has their limits, and only an idiot would sit in front of their computer and watch every one of those episodes. Either an idiot, or someone who doesn't realize that (a), Not every anime is that long, or (b) there are more than 3 animes out there.
In conclusion, when choosing an anime, triple digits are a royal turn off. Oh, and fanservice is just about as important as length.

So, yes. This is a blog made for the sole purpose of venting my opinions. If you are on this blog than you most likely know me, or what I'm talking about in my posts. And now, just a few things before I begin:
